Our Story

Meet the Mind Behind Nyata AI: Ibrahim Maina

Founded in 2023 by Ibrahim Maina, Nyata AI was born from a vision to make AI more culturally grounded, intelligent, and personal. Ibrahim's journey started not in a lab, but at a Wessex Water seminar in Bath, where he first saw how AI could be used to streamline real-world operations. Inspired, he dove deeper, making artificial intelligence the core of his final dissertation at the University of the West of England: "The Use of AI in Contemporary Business," with Wessex Water as his case study.

But Ibrahim's path wasn't smooth. After graduating with a 2:1 in ITMB, he faced roadblocks in the tech job market as an international student. Instead of waiting for an opportunity, he created one—pulling together everything he'd learned from university, side projects, and local Bristol connections. That's how Nyata AI came to life.
